HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Hope everybody had a wonderful thanksgiving-I absolutely did.  I have so much to be thankful about-my wonderful family and friends, my wonderful job and my wonderful life.  I have nothing to complain about and everything to thank God for!  Hope you all have just as much to love and just as little to not!

the female engineer chronicles

Oh man it feels so good to be right sometimes!  That sounds arrogant but its soooo justified in some situations. 
So women still only make up ~18% of the total number of engineers in the workforce.  I guess its pretty obvious to see that.....just look around the workplace.  It's a male dominated world, but that's okay, the females are still trying and our numbers go up each year, its progress.  It's just so tough to prove yourself in the middle of not only the male dominance but all the massive experience.  So, you know, when the day goes well and I can stand my ground when I think I'm right and then have someone else confirm that........it feels pretty good!!  I'm relishing the moment!  YAY-I really can be an engineer! Take that glass ceiling.  =0)

Autumn in Seattle

Autumn has finally made it here....and I love everything about it. I love the leaves and the different colors, the cool brisk air, the pumpkin patches, wearing hats and scarves, turning the fireplace on, the autumn decorations (and soon the christmas decorations!).  It's definitely my favorite time of the year!
 Although I miss New Mexico during this time of year, Seattle makes up for it so well!  There are so many different parks and trees around here.  This park is University Park right by the University of Washington.  It was a nice day (for a little while) and we could hear the UW football game going on! We only got a few nice shots of the changing leaves before the rains came in!  But thats okay-we had to hurry home to pack for Pittsburgh!

and Happy Birthday to me!!  Ugh, 29?? really??  I was kinda hoping I would just stay 21 forever!  It was a great birthday though!  Loi and I have been traveling so much it was so nice to just stay at home.  I got roses,a new game for the DS and a pink cricut (isnt it pretty)!!!  I also got jewelry from mom, bobby and sara.

After being total bums for the day we carved pumpkins and I made us some caramel apples.....with homemade caramel! 

I got birthday wishes from the whole family (even my brothers remembered!) and from my great friends.  Except for the whole one more year til 30 thing, it was a great Halloween! 

Football Anyone....

Seriously-are there really any other sports besides football.....I think not!!!  I love it!
